Who cares about marketing strategies anyway?

Something I come across time and again with businesses I encounter is a real lack of strategy when it comes to their marketing efforts.  I myself am just as guilty - I wrote a simple strategy and had everything laid out in a rough sketch, but never bothered to refer back to it! So, why is it important to have a marketing strategy, and how do you build a business case for carving out the time each week to review and implement your strategy?

I live and breathe anything digital - particularly if stats are involved!  I've been a digital geek since the first days of the internet, playing on computers in the IT room after school and teaching myself pretty much everything I know.  My background in data analysis for healthcare further grew my interest around how data can help make informed decisions which, when combined with my geekiness, found a great combination!

Mautic expert

Since Mautic entered the beta release stage, I've been a keen advocate and have developed an in-depth understanding of the system and its quirks.  I love how Mautic is opening up the world of marketing automation to anybody - no longer is it the realm of the big and mighty due to the exhorbitant costs of the licensing fees - and putting the power back in the hands of those who stand to benefit so much from it. 

I am super privileged to be working in a role that directly supports this fantastic Open Source project.
